The mission of Bay Area Young Positives (BAY Positives) is to help young people (26 and under) with HIV/AIDS to live longer, happier, healthier, more productive, and quality-filled lives. BAY Positives encourages all youth to know their HIV status. We provide referrals to free test sites, accompany youth through the entire testing process, and award gifts to those who test through our agency.

Founded in 1907 and rooted in our faith traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities CYO supports families, aging and disabled adults, and youth through social services and opportunities for healthy growth and development.

The Center for Employment Training (CET) is a private, non-profit corporation, with nearly forty years of job training experience. Since 1967, CET has crafted and perfected the widely recognized 'contextual learning model' that is currently operating in 30 centers across the country. CET has built its service delivery model around the needs of individuals lacking marketable skills and those seeking career growth opportunities. The CET model is a highly individualized, open-entry, open-exit classroom training program with solid business involvement and support services.

Central City Hospitality House has served the homeless community in San Francisco's Tenderloin district since 1967. Through our unique combination of peer-led programs and advocacy efforts, many homeless and low-income people have been empowered to unite their voices to stimulate social change. Our programs include a drop-in self help center, an employment program, a community arts program, and a shelter for homeless men. Combined, our programs use a holistic approach to enhancing the economic, mental, physical, and social health of the homeless community.

Compass Community Services provides housing, education and employment services to San Francisco's homeless and at-risk families. The agency's four programs support more than 3,000 parents and children each year in their efforts to achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Services include crisis intervention, homeless prevention, emergency shelter, transitional housing, intensive case management and therapy, job training, enriched infant care and childcare, and permanent housing placement.

Dolores Street Community Services operates the only shelters for men in the Mission District and the only shelters in San Francisco specialized in serving Latino working poor men. The Cohen Residence provides a unique home-like environment while also being a licensed assisted-living facility for men and women living with AIDS. Our funding is broadly-based, spanning the gamut of government contracts, foundation grants, corporate partnerships, and individual donations. Over 80% of our funding is spent on programs and services.

Edgewood Center for Children and Families (Edgewood) helps children and families take back their future by working with them to overcome severe challenges like abuse, neglect, mental illness, and family crisis. The oldest children's charity in the western U.S., Edgewood has evolved to meet the community’s changing needs. What began as a refuge for Gold Rush orphans more than 150 years ago is now a nationally recognized, multifaceted agency. Edgewood serves more than 5,000 children and families in the Bay Area each year through community and residential programs.

The general employment program is designed to "Enhance employability prospects," for Western Addition residents. This program holds workshops on the following topics: Resume Preparation, Job Preparedness, Application Process, Interview Techniques, Work Ethics, and Job Retention. This service is a resource for entry-level positions and career opportunities throughout San Francisco.

The mission of Enterprise for High School Students is to increase student preparedness to explore and pursue career paths through training and counseling and guidance; to offer a variety of experiential options within the work world; and to provide a support network to raise youth's personal expectations for success.

Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco (ECS), a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization started in 1983, helps homeless, disabled and very low-income adult women and men, seniors and families move with dignity toward increased stability and housing. THE SKILLS CENTER educates and supports more than 1,200 people annually with job counseling, computer training, basic adult education, adult and family literacy, GED and vocational programs (such as the CHEFS institutional kitchen training program) in order to move into stable employment and better jobs.

GGCI helps rebuild lives of at-risk youth in San Francisco through jobs in social enterprises that we own, work placements, high school career classes, leadership training, mentoring, and supportive relationships with staff and volunteers. Our work is about giving a hand up toward helping each individual achieve his/her vast potential. As more individuals live out that potential each day, the San Francisco Bay Area becomes a better place for all of us.
