The Position

The Omnichannel Data & Insights Senior Manager is the data domain expert and owner of Omnichannel Data & Insights within Experience Operations (XO), a functional group within Genentech Business Operations (GBO) composed of experts who partner across Commercial, Medical Affairs and Government Affairs (CMG) to orchestrate and deliver integrated customer experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

The Opportunity

The Senior Manager is responsible for translating business needs to analytical data visualization design, identifying opportunities for automation and implementing solutions that allow for scale and efficiency.

  • As the domain expert, you will translate business requirements into data analytics design, and spearhead end-to-end insights solutions development delivery.

  • You will also design, review and monitor optimal approaches for data quality assessment, applying extensive knowledge for potential issues such as missing values, duplicates, inconsistent formats, and the implications of those for the data & insights process.

  • You will lead the data inquiries navigating multiple systems and orchestrate inquiry support with numerous data & platform support teams.

  • You demonstrate excellent visualization & storytelling skills, influencing decision-making within analytics teams as well as with stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive omnichannel data reporting dashboards and KPIs.

  • Maintain/enhance dashboards by identifying improvement opportunities in reporting and data structure / functionality with the latest insights as they become available.

  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for the end-user community, ensuring that data and insights development aligns with evolving business requirements.

  • Conduct comprehensive user testing as the data and insights tool capabilities evolve, ensuring seamless alignment with business needs.

Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • You have 10 years of overall technology experience, including 8+ years with pharmaceutical data and management with an emphasis on syndicated data and digital/omnichannel data.

  • 5+ years experience in at least one analysis platform such as Qlik, Tableau, Python, SQL, Dataiku, AWS.

  • Strong systems and data Integration skills, as it relates to digital marketing data structures needed for reporting.

  • Ability to anticipate business needs, drive clarity in ambiguous situations and strong problem-solving skills that align with business priorities

  • Experience mining and generating insights from customer engagement within digital channels, such as websites, paid media, social media, email campaigns & its data sets.

  • This position is based in South San Francisco and relocation benefits are not available.

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or other related graduate degree

  • Familiarity with frequently used pharmaceutical data sources.

  • Project management skills in coordinating and overseeing data analytics related initiatives and ensuring they are completed efficiently.

  • Subject matter expertise in multiple areas among the following: Campaign Management, Omnichannel Orchestration, Web Analytics, Tagging Strategy, Taxonomy application/metadata management.

  • Good understanding of the Tools and Technology that make up the Marketing Technology (Martech) Stack.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $157,400 - $292,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
