Job Summary: Quality Manager
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Quality Manager is an on-site position to lead and coordinate the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) and product testing. This includes ensuring the plant's ongoing compliance with all quality certifications including AS9100 and providing technical support for Environmental, Health & Safety requirements. This person will be responsible for the supervision of Quality Engineers, Quality Associates and Process Specialists.
Essential Functions
* Ensures that all orders shipped from the facility meet customer requirements.
* Oversees all activities of the Quality Assurance (QA) lab.
* Ensures that manufacturing processes are in control and appropriately monitored for product quality and consistency.
* Ensures that product and process changes are implemented only in accordance with the Change Management procedure.
* Assesses training needs and provides training to QA and production employees relating to QMS processes.
* Establishes development opportunities for direct reports and provides consistent feedback to ensure growth.
* Represents the plant and Avient in all aspects of professional dealings with customers, the technical community and the commercial group.
* Resolves and responds to customer complaints and handles technical and quality questions from internal and external sources.
* Coordinates investigation and corrective action on all internal and external quality issues.
* Works to continuously and proactively improve the QMS and identify and close gaps in current processes that may affect the site's ability to produce high quality goods or deliver on time to customers.
* Leads the Fiber-Line Global Quality Council to develop, align, and coordinate best practices within the business.

Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience required.
Additional Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups required.
* Experience building and improving QMS systems preferred.
