In Fremont, CA, we serve global clients in telecom and datacom industries in providing innovative optical modules to support our customer's next generation networks. We are looking for a Program Manager to join our team. This team will be responsible for MEMS optical cross-connect switches' design, development, and manufacturing in our Fremont facilities.

This person will work with multi-discipline teams, including sales and marketing, product line managers, optical, electrical, mechanical, and software R&D teams, and work with colleagues of different geographic sites.


What You Will Do

  • Total ownership of the program throughout the whole product development lifecycle and accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
  • Work with all stakeholders on definition of product scope, project schedule, product cost, engineering budget, and manage the dynamics during development.
  • Lead, motivate and delegate engineering teams in global sites on project development execution with excellence.
  • Work with PLM on business development, market research, and product line strategies.
  • Risk management, mitigation, and communication.
  • Work with overseas NPI team on volume production readiness.
  • Routine interlock meetings with global customers on product definition, schedule update, troubleshooting.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business
  • 3+ years of program management for complex engineering program for the whole lifecycle
  • Proficiency in project development management with global teams, at executive level with traceable details.
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile development methodologies: Scrum, Sprint, CI/CD, etc.
  • Experience in project management and ALM tools, such as MS Project, SmartSheet, Jira
  • Good communication and inter-person skills inside out the organization
  • Positive and straightforward when facing challenges, problems, and stresses.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master's degree in computer and network engineering.
  • 5+ years of program management for telecom and/or data center product development.
  • Fluency in Mandarin for interaction with overseas teams
  • Knowledge and experience in optical network product development

Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. If you have questions, please speak to your recruiter about the flexibility and detail of our compensation philosophy. For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $190,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
