Within Azure Data, our Graph team is dedicated to simplifying the process of extracting insights from the vast scale of interconnected business data prevalent in every organization. We are currently seeking a Principal Software Engineering Manager who can define and implement our vision of scale-out graph indices, and graph algorithms systems, enabling large-scale graph analytics data analysts, business users, and data scientists across all organizations. ResponsibilitiesLeads development of the core database index, query planning and execution and language development stack.Analyzes tradeoffs and prioritizes development, modularization, optimization, testing, repairability and observability of the core system components.Guides team to define appropriate observability metrics and leads efforts to collect, classify, and analyze complex data and analyses these metrics to improve the quality of decisions. Guides team to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers).Identifies skills needed and ensures graph core database engineering team's skills remain current by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments.
