Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an Attorney Recruiting Specialist or Senior Specialist in our Boston, Washington, D.C., or Houston offices.

Responsibilities

What responsibilities will you have?

As an Attorney Recruiting Specialist at Orrick, you will join a top-notch team that places an emphasis on innovation and adapting to the evolving practices of competitive legal recruiting. As the primary recruiting contact for your office, you will be responsible for overseeing local attorney onboarding and running the local summer program. You will work closely with the Sr. Manager of US Lateral Associate Recruiting to help manage Business Unit lateral recruiting, as well as the Sr. Manager of US Law School Relations & Diversity Recruiting to help manage entry-level recruiting.

You will be expected to understand Orrick's innovative vision and the Recruiting Department's role in realizing that mission, to know the firm and its practice groups, how to best represent Orrick, and to identify the credentials and traits that are predictors of successful Orrick attorneys.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

    Bachelor of Arts or Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Prior legal recruiting experience with entry-level, lateral associate, and/or judicial clerkship recruiting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Zoom, Flo Recruit, Symplicity, 12twenty, and applicant tracking systems, such as iCIMS or LawCruit preferred.
  • Extraordinary verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated organization and team-management skills.
  • The ability to be innovative and operate in an enthusiastic manner with a broad range of professionals. Demonstrated experience working both independently and harmoniously on team and in other organizational contexts/levels.
  • Adept at handling concurrent projects and effectively prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Your flexibility and dedication to work beyond the position's written duties and assist in various areas of the firm's operations is essential.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • You will need the willingness to work during irregular evening and weekend hours when required for time-sensitive, project-specific activities and/or during urgent situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $72,000.00 to $93,000.00.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
